Lovingly referred to as “Rev. Mike”, Ahiah’s Assistant Minister is our resident Community Ambassador. His serves on several Non-Profit boards in the community that provide opportunities for the Ahiah congregants to participate in volunteer and outreach ministries. His community service work is indeed broad and vast, including our next door neighbor - Casa Treatment Center; NEY – Neighbors Empowering Youth – a computer technologies training center; and the Freedom to Choose Project – which was initially created to help prisoners make better life choices, but has grown to include anyone wanting to escape the prison of the mind.  Rev. Mike also participates regularly in prison ministries, serving prisons for men as well as women.   His passion for service is humbling and contagious.

Prior to serving as our Assistant Minister, Rev. Mike was a Practitioner with Ahiah CSL.  He brings an expansive passion for service with a smile.  In addition to his many services with Ahiah, Rev. Mike is active in many community Outreach Ministries including Community Trios and 12 Step Treatment and Recovery Programs.  Rev. Mike is actively  involved in service to the California Correctional Facilities with their Prison Ministries program.

Personal theme song is “Get Ready My Soul – I’m Diving In” by Daniel Nahmod.

Rev. Scott Olson's arrival was much anticipated after over an half year preparing for an Open Pulpit and New Ministerial Search.  He started at  Ahiah in August of 2018.  From the beginning, he lead in high gear, meeting with congregants, teaching classes, organizing and supporting new ministries; and of course, providing inspirational Sunday Talks.

We were honored to prepare and present his formal Ministerial Installation services, on January 26, 2019.  The services were made special by a strong showing of supporters from Ahiah, as well as support from his previous home center - Namaste Center for Spiritual Living in Long Beach.  Additionally, many of his alumni from ministerial school came to support our new Senior Minister.
