Vacation/Reflection

Visited two of my favorite cities last week.
Oh, what a thrill it was to speak
With those I've missed reciprocally;
Presence affirming existence
So jovially.
These relationships I've longed for
More than dreams.
Laughter. Smattered flattery
Enveloping interactions.
Our reactions to long awaited camaraderie
Fulfilling a small destiny
We chose for relative growth
Alongside hefty goals;
Creative coals burning,
The embers are more than yearning,
They're knowing
These connections.
Each reflection of who we are is a lesson
I'm never too excited to learn.
