Demonstrate Your Consciousness

4 min read

Abundant Living, Abundant Giving is our prosperity theme for 2027

There is a beautiful teaching in Science of Mind: our consciousness is creative.

Ernest Holmes taught that we participate in the Universal Creative Process through our thoughts, beliefs, acceptance, and actions. We are not separate from the Infinite; we are expressions of the One Life. What we accept within ourselves eventually seeks expression through our lives.

That means our spiritual practice cannot remain only in the realm of ideas.

At some point, what we believe must become what we demonstrate.

We can affirm abundance, study prosperity, speak about possibility, and pray about our vision. But eventually, our inner realization must find expression in how we live, how we give, and what we are willing to create together.

That is the invitation in this week's theme: “Demonstrate Your Consciousness.”

It is also the natural expression of our monthly theme:

Abundant Living, Abundant Giving.

We are not simply talking about abundance.

We are demonstrating it.

Look at What We Have Already Created

At Ahiah, we don't have to look very far to see evidence of our collective creative power.

Our We Thrive Youth Program began with a vision for our young people—a place where they could discover their worth, develop leadership, experience belonging, and recognize their own spiritual potential. That vision became an intention, the intention became action, and the action became a living ministry.

Our commercial kitchen is another demonstration. What began as an idea required research, investment, persistence, problem-solving, faith, and disciplined action. We continued moving forward even when the process took longer and demanded more of us than we anticipated. Today, that kitchen is becoming a tangible resource that can serve our congregation, our broader community, and create new opportunities for Ahiah.

And then there is something even more fundamental:

We own our own building.

Our building is more than bricks, walls, rooms, and a mortgage. It is a physical manifestation of generations of faith, sacrifice, generosity, vision, and commitment. People before us believed that this spiritual community was worthy of having a home.

Now it is our turn to steward that manifestation.

These three examples remind us that spiritual ideas can become tangible realities when vision is joined with faith, action, resources, and collective participation.

We are powerful manifesters.

So the question becomes: What are we ready to demonstrate next?

Perhaps it is greater financial stability.

Perhaps it is new revenue-generating opportunities.

Perhaps it is expanded ministry and community outreach.

Perhaps it is deeper investment in our youth.

Perhaps it is creating new ways to address loneliness, food insecurity, belonging, and spiritual transformation.

Or perhaps it is becoming better stewards of the gifts and resources already entrusted to us.

The possibilities are greater than any one of us can see.

Ownership Is Part of the Demonstration

When we recognize Ahiah as our spiritual community center and our beloved community, we move beyond asking what Ahiah can provide for us and begin asking:

“What can I contribute to the continued expression of Ahiah?”

That contribution may be financial. It may be our time, talent, leadership, creativity, professional expertise, volunteer service, or simply our willingness to show up and participate.

There is tremendous power when each of us asks:

“What is mine to give?”

This is the heart of abundant giving.

We give not because something is lacking in the Universe, but because we recognize ourselves as channels through which the Good can express.

Holmes taught us that we demonstrate the Truth we have accepted. We don't merely talk about spiritual principles—we practice them. We don't merely believe in prosperity—we allow our understanding of abundance to shape our choices, our stewardship, and our actions.

And this is where ownership matters.

When we take responsibility for the community we love, we are saying that we recognize ourselves as participants in its future. We become willing to invest in its health, its mission, and its continued expression.

Abundant living is not simply having more. It is becoming more conscious of what we have, what we can give, and what we can create together.

Our 2027 Opportunity

As we look toward 2027, I am inviting each of us to make an Abundant Living, Abundant Giving pledge to Ahiah.

Take a moment in prayer and ask:

“What is mine to give?”

Not from obligation, but from gratitude, faith, and a genuine desire to participate in the future we are creating together.

If you are able, make a specific financial commitment for 2027—one that is meaningful to you and reflects your intention to support the continued prosperity and mission of Ahiah.

Your pledge is more than a number.

It is a declaration:

I believe in this vision.I believe my contribution matters.I am willing to participate in the manifestation of our beloved community.

And there is one simple next step:

Submit your 2027 pledge today at www.ahiah.com/prosperity.

Take a moment to complete the pledge form and make your commitment to Ahiah's 2027 prosperity.

When each of us participates according to our ability and from our heart, our individual gifts become a collective demonstration of what is possible.

We have already shown what we can create together.

Now we have the opportunity to take Abundant Living, Abundant Giving to its next level.

Ahiah is our spiritual community center.

Ahiah is our beloved community.

And we are not merely spectators of its future.

We are co-creators of it.

Let us demonstrate Abundant Living and Abundant Giving together.

Let us take ownership of the spiritual community we love.

And let us demonstrate the Truth we have accepted.

Your Affirmations for the week

I am an expression of Infinite Good

I allow the spirit of abundance to flow through my thoughts, my choices, my giving, and my actions.

I joyfully take ownership of my beloved community and contribute to the continued prosperity and expansion of Ahiah.

Remember, we are always surrounded by Blessings and Light,

RevMichael (Kisumma)
