Your Word is your Wand

Ahiah needs your Pledge!
Ahiah needs your Pledge!

In every story with a wand, the wand itself has no power. It's just a stick until a word is spoken with focus, intention, and belief. This Sunday we explore Your Word Is Your Wand. In this final week of our dialogue on Eric Butterworth's Spiritual Economics, we arrive at the principle that holds the whole season together: the Word as Law.

Butterworth teaches that thought and the spoken word are creative. Prosperity consciousness can't just be admired from a distance or believed in the head. It has to be affirmed, declared, and lived. We get to practice this teaching in the laboratory of our own lives.

One challenge is many treat this practice like they are skimming the icing off the cake and leaving the filling, the cake and the goodness. Many come to hear the Sunday message and forget that classes help us anchor the teaching and develop the relationships with fellow seekers, practitioners and ministers who have lived this teaching for decades. Many forget that sacred service helps us to steep in the teachings by giving of our time and talents.

Believing Is Not Enough

Many others believe in abundance on Sunday and speak lack by Monday. "I can't afford it." "Money doesn't grow on trees." "Things are so tight." We toss these lines off like weather reports, but they aren't harmless.

Remember the AI prompt we talked about last week? Remember your Heartficial Intelligence runs on a prompt that you feed it also. Your consciousness runs on whatever you feed it, and what you say aloud, again and again, becomes the prompt. The Law doesn't judge our words. It simply responds to them.

Listen to yourself for one day. Count how many sentences begin with "I can't," "I don't have," or "I'm afraid." Most of us are astonished.

Catch It, Cancel It, Replace It

Releasing scarcity language starts with noticing it. When you hear a lack statement leave your mouth, pause, smile, and say, "Cancel that." Then replace it with a truer word:

  • "I can't afford it" becomes "I'm choosing where my substance flows."

  • "There's never enough" becomes "There is always enough, and I am a channel for it."

  • "I'm broke" becomes "I am not at the end of anything. I am simply between opportunities."

This isn't pretending. Butterworth is clear that we accept the reality of the difficulty, but not its permanence.

Say It Like It's Already Done

Affirmative prayer speaks in the present tense. We don't say "someday I will have." We declare "I am" and "I have," and then we act in harmony with those words. Feeling matters. An affirmation recited like a grocery list does little. One spoken with conviction, even a trembling one, begins to rewire the mind.

The Hebrew Scripture puts it this way: "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee" (Job 22:28).

The Yes Before the How

Remember the napkin at my birthday dinner that I shared about in my wisdom talk this week? Before we had a single answer to "How are we going to pay for it?" we spoke a yes. The word came first. Then came the plans, the permits, and the building.

The word is not a substitute for action. It is the beginning of it. Spirit does the work when we do the inner work, and the inner work often sounds like a sentence spoken out loud.

Your Commissioning

This is our closing week, which means the teaching now becomes yours. Over four weeks we've explored consciousness, Source, circulation, and the Word. Don't file them away as ideas. Carry them as a practice. You are not leaving a class. You are being sent.

Speak a prosperity word each morning. Release one scarcity phrase each day. Give from overflow. And if your heart says yes, add your voice to our pledge campaign for Abundant Living, Abundant Giving.

Our Goal is 75 pledgers and as of today we have 14. Are you in that number? Well what are you waiting for?

If you haven’t done so yet, take a moment and head over to www.Ahiah.com/prosperity and submit your pledge of support for 2027.  No pledge is too small, and none is too large. We need your support to keep our expansion steady. Help us help you!

Your Practice This Week

Choose one affirmation below. Say it aloud each morning and each night for seven days. Write it on a sticky note and put it where you'll see it. Notice how your words shift through the day.

Your Affirmations for this week

  1. My words are seeds of good, and I plant only abundance.

  2. I release every word of lack, and I speak the language of overflow.

  3. Spirit is my Source, my word is my wand, and the way is opening now.

Blessings of Abundance surrounds you,

Rev Michael (Kisumma)
