Spirit Says Yes

There are moments in life when we feel disconnected from ourselves, others, and even our Higher Power.

We may still be functioning, achieving, managing responsibilities, and showing up for others, yet somewhere beneath the surface there is a quiet question waiting to be asked: What if I dared to imagine something more? And beneath that question, an even quieter truth waiting to be heard: Spirit has already said yes.

This week, as we close our Reimagine series, I invite us into a sacred practice daring to believe that the very thing we have imagined, Spirit has already answered.

Spirit saying yes is not about manufacturing something new out of thin air. It is about awakening to what has always been true. In the Science of Mind philosophy, we understand that our spiritual nature is whole, complete, and forever connected to Divine Life. The Universe is not withholding. It is not making us wait, prove ourselves, or earn our way into our own good. The soul does not forget its Source but our conscious awareness sometimes does. We become hypnotized by appearances. We begin to believe that limitation defines us, that circumstances have the final word, or that fear speaks louder than Truth.

But Spirit gently whispers otherwise. Spirit has already said yes.

This deep knowing happens when we pause long enough to imagine and then to listen for the answer that is already on its way.

Have you ever held a vision so tender, so new, so unproven, that someone looking on from the sidelines said, "Oh, are you sure? Maybe you should do this instead"? This usually means the person is not listening to the voice of their own soul, let alone yours because as we cultivate the practice of imagining boldly, we honor the witness consciousness within, understanding that everyone is doing the best they can with what they know. We know that the Divine is in charge and all is well, so we can release our grip on people, places, and outcomes, trusting that the imagination Spirit gave us is not random; it is guidance. The soul knows. The soul shows. And Spirit says yes.

This is the heart of Reimagine: imagination is not escapism. Imagination is the language Spirit uses to speak the future into the present moment. It happens in meditation, when silence becomes louder than doubt. It happens in prayer, when we reconnect with possibility instead of resignation. It happens in moments of awe in nature, music, service, community, or simple stillness when something within us quietly says, "Ah yes… this is what I was made to create. And Spirit has already said yes to it."

To imagine boldly is to remember:

You are more than your setbacks. You are more than your title, role, or bank account. You are more than what happened to you. At the center of your being is a Presence that has never once said no to your becoming. That Presence is wisdom. That Presence is peace. That Presence is strength.

And yes that Presence is love.

Not a love that is isolated or possessed, but a love that expands when it is shared and amplified through bold imagination. In the consciousness of unity, vision multiplies; in community, it accelerates. When we remember our interconnectedness, we discover that the dream forming in one heart strengthens the whole. Spirit never intended for us to imagine alone, and the yes, we are waiting for often arrives through the presence, encouragement, and shared vision of others.

When life feels uncertain and the future feels unclear, daring to imagine becomes a spiritual necessity. Instead of asking, "Is this even possible?" perhaps the deeper question is, "What has Spirit already said yes to, that I have been too afraid to imagine?"

Have I forgotten that I am already guided toward my good? Have I forgotten that the answer often arrives before I finish asking the question? Have I forgotten that Divine Love has not withheld anything from me and that it often reaches me through the very visions I am tempted to dismiss? Have I forgotten that new possibilities can emerge the instant I dare to imagine them?

The work of spiritual living this month has been less about striving and more about reimagining.

Reimagining that abundance is our nature. Reimagining that the overflow is already ours to create from. Reimagining that beloved community is built one act of belonging at a time. Reimagining that we belong to something greater than fear. Reimagining that imagination itself is sacred and that what we hold in mind with faith, Spirit has already agreed to.

This week, I encourage you to create intentional moments of bold imagining. Sit quietly for five minutes. Place your hand over your heart. Breathe deeply. Ask yourself:

What have I been afraid to imagine that Spirit has already said yes to?

Then listen.

You may discover that beneath all the noise, Spirit has been patiently waiting — not condemning, not demanding, simply inviting you to dream again. And as you imagine your own becoming, you may also imagine new possibility for every other soul seeking light, belonging, and love.

Because the truth is simple:

We are never separated from Spirit. We are never without an answer. We are only invited to imagine and trust that Spirit has already said yes.

Today, remember that we are surrounded by Blessings and Light, — Rev. Michael (Kisumma)
