Love in Action

Beloved Ones, there is a kind of love that feels warm and inspiring. It moves us in a song. It stirs us in prayer. It comforts us in difficult times.

And then there is Love in action.

The first kind of love is beautiful. The second kind transforms lives.

At Ahiah this month, we are speaking of agape love—unconditional, courageous, spiritually grounded love. This is not fragile affection. It is not approval-seeking kindness. It is not passive niceness. Agape love is the very nature of Spirit expressing Itself as us.

As Ernest Holmes writes in The Science of Mind, the Thing Itself—the Divine Reality—is Love. Not symbolic love. Not poetic love. Actual, dynamic, creative Love. The same Love that set galaxies in motion is seeking expression in our thoughts, our words, and our choices.

The question is not whether Love exists. The question is whether it is moving through us.

Love Is a Spiritual Law

In New Thought philosophy, Love is more than a virtue. It is a law of circulation.

What we withhold stagnates. What we release multiplies.

Edwene Gaines teaches in The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity that divine flow requires participation. Prosperity is not accumulation—it is circulation. The same is true of Love. When we extend it, we experience it more fully.

Love must move to remain alive.

When Love remains only a concept, it stays sentimental. When Love becomes embodied, it becomes power.

What Does Love in Action Look Like?

Love in action is not abstract. It is practical.

It is choosing compassion when judgment would be easier. It is speaking encouragement where criticism feels justified. It is showing up when withdrawal feels safer.

Love in action looks like:

  • Refusing to demonize those who disagree with us.

  • Offering prayer instead of gossip.

  • Serving even when no one is applauding.

  • Giving from belonging and trust.

  • Staying committed to community when discomfort arises.

This kind of Love requires courage.

Because Love in action asks something of us.It stretches us beyond preference into principle.

Love Under Pressure

It is easy to speak of Love when life feels stable. It is far more powerful to practice it when we are tired, disappointed, or uncertain.

Our world is loud. Outrage travels faster than compassion. Social media rewards reaction more than reflection. It becomes tempting to protect our energy by disengaging or hardening.

But spiritual maturity is revealed under pressure.

Love in action does not mean we accept injustice. It does not mean we avoid truth. It means we refuse to let fear dictate our response.

Courageous Love tells the truth with grace.Courageous Love confronts harm without dehumanizing.Courageous Love remains rooted even when storms rage.

And that kind of Love changes atmospheres.

Community: The Laboratory of Love

We cannot practice Love in isolation.

Spiritual community is not simply a place we attend. It is a training ground for consciousness. It is where we learn patience. It is where we practice forgiveness. It is where we stretch beyond ego into service.

At Ahiah, we are called to be more than observers. We are called to be participants in a field of courageous Love.

When we give of our time, we grow. When we offer our talents, we align. When we commit our treasure, we circulate trust.

Love in action binds us together. It transforms a building into a refuge. It transforms gatherings into sacred experiences. It transforms vision into embodiment.

Love and Sacred Overflow

This is our Year of Sacred Overflow.

Overflow does not begin with accumulation. It begins with release.

When Love flows outward, it returns magnified. When service expands, community deepens. When generosity increases, possibility widens.

Love is the seed.Overflow is the harvest.

If we desire a vibrant, joyful, spiritually alive community, we must be willing to embody the Love we preach.

Not someday.Not when it’s convenient.Now.

A Call to Make Love Visible

This week, I invite you to move Love from intention into expression.

  • Volunteer in one area where your presence can strengthen the whole.

  • Reach out to someone who may be feeling unseen.

  • Offer financial support as an act of faith in our shared mission.

  • Deepen your MAP practice—Meditation, Affirmation, Prayer—as a daily alignment with embodied Love.

  • Choose one difficult interaction and respond from spiritual maturity rather than ego reaction.

You cannot fail to find your soul’s contribution.

Love is not asking for perfection. Love is asking for participation.

Ahiah is not just a place to receive inspiration. It is a place to live it. Make Ahiah’s mission your mission. Make Ahiah’s vision your vision. Let courageous Love move through your hands, your voice, your generosity, your commitment.

Because when Love becomes visible through us,healing accelerates, community strengthens, and Sacred Overflow becomes inevitable.

Where is Love asking to move through you today?

Step forward.

Act.

Let Love be seen.

And remember that we are surrounded by Blessings and Light,

RevMichael (Kisumma)
