Remember Love

As we move toward this blessed Mother’s Day, we are invited into something deeper than flowers, cards, or traditions. Despite the appearance of chaos and dissent in the world around us, we are invited to remember the healing power of love.
Not merely sentimental love. Not conditional love. But the sustaining, healing, life-giving Presence that has carried humanity through every generation and every challenge. Mother’s Day reminds us of the sacred qualities often expressed through the mothering spirit: compassion, nurturing, patience, protection, wisdom, and fierce devotion. Whether we experienced these qualities through a mother, grandmother, mentor, spiritual guide, friend, or community, the invitation is the same: remember love.
Remember that the Divine Mother will never deny the cries of her children and in remembering Love, we remember Her and Her Love.
In the rush of daily living, it is easy to forget. We forget our worth when circumstances become difficult. We forget our connection when fear dominates the conversation. We forget tenderness when the world feels harsh and divided. Yet love remains. Quietly present. Patiently waiting beneath the noise of worry, disappointment, and distraction.
In Science of Mind, we understand that Love is not merely an emotion; Love is the very nature of Spirit expressing Itself through all creation. Love is the invisible thread connecting every living being. Ernest Holmes wrote that love points the way and law makes the way possible. When we align ourselves with love, we begin to experience greater harmony, clarity, and peace.
To “remember love” is a spiritual practice because as Ernest Holmes reminds us, "Love points the way and the Law makes the Way possible."
It means choosing compassion when judgment would be easier. It means extending grace to ourselves when we fall short. It means recognizing that beneath every longing is a desire to be seen, valued, and loved.
Mother’s Day can bring many emotions. For some, it is joyful celebration. For others, it may awaken grief, complicated memories, or longing. Yet even in those tender spaces, love can still be remembered. Love is larger than any single relationship or human imperfection. Divine Love never abandons us. It continues to nurture, restore, and call us back to wholeness.
This week, consider where love may be asking to re-enter your awareness. Perhaps it is through forgiveness. Perhaps through rest. Perhaps through reaching out to someone who needs encouragement. Perhaps simply through remembering that you, too, are worthy of gentleness and care.
The mothering presence of Spirit is always active within us — guiding, comforting, and strengthening us. When we remember love, we remember who we truly are.
And from that remembrance, healing begins.
