A New Vision: Reimagining What's Possible

This month we are exploring the theme of Reimagine, and this week we focus on A New Vision. As a spiritual community, we have chosen to live in the consciousness of Living in the Overflow of Spirit's Highest Vision for Our Greater Yet to Be. This powerful declaration reminds us that our future is not limited by our past, nor is it constrained by present circumstances. Instead, we are invited to align with a vision that is greater than anything we could imagine on our own.

A new vision begins when we become willing to see beyond appearances and embrace the possibilities that Spirit is revealing. It is easy to become attached to familiar patterns, old stories, and established ways of thinking. Yet growth requires us to look beyond what has been and open ourselves to what is seeking to emerge.

Our emerging vision is not merely an idea; it is already taking shape through intentional action. As we look toward the coming year, we are exploring new partnerships with theater companies and community organizations such as Friends In Deed and the Community Clergy Coalition, creating opportunities to deepen our community engagement and expand our impact. We are also focused on strengthening our financial foundation by diversifying revenue streams through grant funding, licensed kitchen rentals, and other mission-aligned opportunities.

In addition, we are committed to increasing both the frequency and depth of our community visioning sessions led by Practitioner Yvonne Hyde. These gatherings provide a sacred space for listening deeply to Spirit's guidance and ensuring that our collective direction emerges from shared spiritual discernment rather than individual preference. Together, these initiatives represent practical expressions of our commitment to living in the overflow of Spirit's highest vision for our greater yet to be.

Vision is more than physical sight. It is spiritual perception. It is the capacity to see potential where others see obstacles, possibility where others see limitation, and opportunity where others see uncertainty. Ernest Holmes taught that thought is creative and that the images we hold in consciousness help shape our experience. When we cultivate a new vision, we begin creating a new future.

Many of us carry assumptions about who we are, what we can accomplish, and what is available to us. Sometimes these assumptions were formed years ago and no longer serve our highest good. Re-imagining invites us to question those limitations and consider a larger possibility. What if the life you desire is already seeking expression through you? What if Spirit's vision for your life is greater than the one you have been holding?

This is where spiritual practice becomes essential. Through meditation, we quiet the noise of the world and listen for divine guidance. Through affirmative prayer, we align our consciousness with truth rather than fear. Through gratitude, we cultivate an expectation of good. These practices help us move from merely wishing for change to becoming receptive to a new vision.

The process of visioning is not about forcing outcomes or controlling circumstances. It is about becoming available to what Spirit is already seeking to express. As we release our attachment to how things must look, we create space for greater possibilities to emerge. We begin to see with spiritual eyes rather than relying solely on past experience.

As we reflect on this week's theme, consider these questions: What am I being called to reimagine? What old belief or story am I ready to release? What possibility excites me? If I fully trusted Spirit's guidance, what new vision might unfold in my life?

These questions are not merely personal; they are also communal. Every thriving spiritual community is sustained by a shared vision of what it can become. A compelling vision inspires service, generosity, creativity, and commitment. It calls us forward into our greater yet to be.

That is why this coming Sunday's Annual Meeting is especially significant. Following our service, we will gather for our 2026 Annual Meeting, where we will share our vision for the coming year. Together, we will celebrate where we have been, acknowledge the growth we have experienced, and look forward to the opportunities ahead. We will discuss the partnerships we are cultivating, the initiatives that will strengthen our ministry, and the ways each of us can participate in bringing our shared vision to life. Most importantly, we will explore how we can collectively embody Spirit's highest vision for Ahiah CSL Pasadena and for the lives we touch.

As we prepare for this important gathering, I invite you to open your heart and mind to new possibilities. Allow yourself to imagine a future that reflects the highest expression of love, wisdom, abundance, and service. Trust that Spirit is always revealing a greater vision and that each of us has a role to play in bringing that vision into form.

Together, we can re-imagine what is possible, embrace a new vision for our future, and step boldly into the overflow of Spirit's highest vision for our greater yet to be.

We are truly surrounded by Blessings and Light,

RevMichael (Kisumma)
